For the life of me, I can't understand why the Raiders kicked a field goal, down 8, on the Rams' 10 yard line with just a few minutes left. Sure, the Raiders got the ball back, buried on their side of the field with very, very little time left, and virtually no hope.
Then, I saw that the point spread was Raiders +7.
Raiders covered because they kicked a stupid field goal.
Someone please tell me why I am wrong; why it made sense to kick the field goal rather than go for the TD and 2pt conversion.
