Recruit reaction..

Weston Port: "I knew about the rumors before I made the decision to commit. My thought process was that in college football coaching changes are almost guaranteed. I made my decision because of the program that UCLA is and not only because of the coaches. But with all that being said coaches do have a large impact and I will be paying close attention to who they decide to go with for the head coaching job going forward."

Another impressive hoops win

Team just keeps getting better.
In 8-point win over Stanford, we had 5 players in double figures, made 11 of 24 3-point shots, turned ball over only 10 times and turned them over 15 times, made one of the best 3-point shooting teams in the country take tough 3-point shots and limited them to 4 for 17.
Down the stretch of a close game, Mick pushed all the right buttons and we didn’t miss a free throw in n the final minutes when they were fouling to put us on the line.
Great road we n.

STORY: UCLA takes resurgence, developing roster to Bay Area

A look at the Bruins who have sparked the recent turnaround as they head to Stanford tonight.

Also, FYI: I’m covering a HS basketball playoff game tonight so I will not be around to do a breakdown. The same may also be the case for Saturday’s game at Cal, depending on area teams still in the playoffs and if I’m needed.

I’m beyond pissed with Chip Kelly and Jarmond

Chip, if you don’t want to be here I totally get it. If the NFL doesn’t want you then get a job at ESPN as a commentator on Game Day or doing color on college football games! Look at what you’ve done. UCLA game attendance is at an all time low. UCLA is second to last in recruiting in the Big Ten. Our two replacements coaches are a 28 year old QB coach that coached at Akron and a 31 year old DL coach that was a GA at Oregon. Where are you going to find your TE and RB replacements? Can you drag our program any lower?

Martin, you need to get your act together and fire Kelly. You don’t need to make UCLA the laughing stock of college sports. Every day we read stories about leaving for the Raiders or Washington or Boston College. This has got to stop! Have some respect…our sports program was the first to 100 Championships. I know you’re not a Bruin but you’re making Dan Guerrero look good and that’s not easy.

Will Chip join Dan Quinn?

It’s pretty clear, according to published reports, Dallas defensive coordinator Dan Quinn is going to become the new head coach at Seattle or Washington.
If he takes the Seattle job, he is expected to ask Chip Kelly to join him as offensive coordinator. It’s not certain Chip will get the call if Quinn winds up with the Commanders.
Either way, Chip is looking pretty good.
Of course there’s always the slim chance Quinn won’t get either job.
We will know later in the week.
