UPDATES ON ETHAN OR DANTE?

“I don’t know anything, they just told me they were unavailable, couldn’t go, so. I don’t know what the extent of anything is.”

COLLIN WAS PLAYING WHEN ETHAN GOT HURT, THOUGHT TO GOING WITH COLLIN AT THAT POINT?

“We talked about a lot of things, but we knew what we had to do to get back in the game there a little bit, so went with Dante and then we had Collin available, so.”

DIDN’T RUN THAT MUCH TEMPO WITH DANTE, WAS THAT BECAUSE IT DIDN’T SUIT HIM AT THAT POINT IN THE GAME?

“No, we did. We did run some tempo when he was in the game, so.”

WHAT DID ARIZONA DO TO MAKE IT DIFFICULT TO MOVE THE BALL?

“I think it was more us. You know, we had the ball in the red zone three or four times, we’ve got to convert when we have the ball in the red zone, you know, we’re trading threes for sevens and you can’t trade threes for sevens against a good offensive team like they have, so we moved the ball and we got the ball in the red zone but we didn’t convert in the red zone, so our execution on the offensive side of the ball has got to improve down there and our field-goal operation has got to improve down there, so it’s a 14-13 game at halftime if we hit those field goals, but we shouldn’t be hitting field goals we should be scoring touchdowns, so we’ve got to do a better job in the red zone specifically on offense.”

SOMETHING IN PRACTICE PROMPT FIELD GOAL SWITCH?

“Yeah, we had a little competition during the week and decided to make the switch.”

WHAT MADE ARIZONA SO EFFECTIVE ON THIRD DOWN?

“Yeah, that’s the thing. You know, you have to take a look at the tape but that was the one thing I think our defense–and we have a good defense–and they did a really nice job and there was a lot of times we got them into longs, Fifita made one scramble that was a big one on third down that we had to stay with him and I think you’ve got to give T-Mac credit. We knew coming in, we always felt he’s one of the top receivers, if not the top receiver in the country and the catches we made today, we had people on him and they were contested and he still makes the catch and I don’t know how John Humphrey plays that any better in the end zone, that catch he made for the last touchdown there down in the corner, he’s a heck of a player. He ran two deep over routes, guys are draped on him and he makes the catch, so sometimes you’ve got to tip your hat, he’s a really good football player and I thought the quarterback put the ball specifically where he could catch it and only he could catch it and he came up with it.”

PENALTIES THAT HURT YOU?

“Yeah, any time you’re playing a competitive team like Arizona you can’t shoot yourself in the foot and I think the penalties that are controllable penalties are the ones that bother you, the administrative penalties with the false starts, that’s just keeping your poise in the noise. You know what it’s like when you play on the road, we have music blaring in practice when we know we’re going to play road teams but we’ve got to be better in those situations.”

WHAT SAY TO GUYS AFTER?

“Same thing, you know, there’s a process, there’s a schedule for tomorrow, we’re going to watch the film, I think immediately after the game there’s not a whole heck of a lot for you to say because you haven’t seen the film. We’ll make the corrections and meet tomorrow and dissect this and go through it and make the proper corrections and go out on the field and get ready to play our next opponent. You know, there’s a process we go through to do the whole thing, I told them it stings and it hurts and it stings and it hurts because they put so much into it. If you didn’t really put a lot into it then if you lose it doesn’t really bother you that much but it bothers this group a ton because of how hard they train and what they put into it, so they’re down right now and that’s part of this process that we go through and we’ve got to shake it off, we’ll probably feel down until we get up tomorrow morning and then we’ve got to get ready to go to work.”

BATTLE BETWEEN YOUR D-LINE AND THEIR O-LINE?

“Yeah, I thought it was back and forth, our guys made some plays but they did a good job and I think their quarterback did a good job of keeping some things alive and there were some plays where you think you’ve got them for a tackle for loss and all of a sudden they pop out the other side, both the running back and the quarterback, but I thought our defensive line competed and played with great effort.”

MIXING IN COLLIN FOR ONE PLAY, CHANGE OF PACE?

“Yeah, we have a package with him, we’ve been doing it since the Oregon State game, and he’s really sparked us. He sparked us in the Colorado game, he sparked us in the Oregon State game, so there’s some things that Collin can do that the other quarterbacks can’t do, you know, specifically, and he’s got experience doing it too because he’s done a lot of stuff, we talk about it all the time, he’s the most experienced quarterback because of the reps that he’s taken when he was at Kent State, so there’s certain things he can do and he feels comfortable doing, so.”

I'm hoping for a win but I have a funny feeling about this game. Fisch generally outcoaches CCK and it's at Arizona. I think it's going to be a low-scoring game and determined by who has the fewest turnovers.

PASADENA, Calif. (KABC) -- The suspects in a theft case in which several items, including jewelry, were taken from the Colorado locker room while the Buffaloes played UCLA at the Rose Bowl have been identified.

According to the Pasadena Police Department, the suspects are juveniles, though further details weren't released, including their ages.

"Search warrants were executed, and additional information will be provided soon as the investigation progresses," police said in a statement.

Investigators said several of the stolen items have been returned to the Colorado players but other items are still missing. Police continue to conduct interviews, review video and assess what items were reported gone.

"The Pasadena Police Department would like to thank those who reported leads to our tip line," Friday's statement continued. "The information and support are invaluable and play a crucial role in helping us ensure safety and security in our community. Our detectives worked diligently to follow up on all leads, which resulted in the quick execution of search warrants. The investigation will be ongoing."

This week, I caught up 2025 LB Weston Port, 2025 DT Tyler Parker, 2025 TE Zach Giuliano and 2026 WR Madden Williams to get the latest on their respective recruitments and their interactions with the Bruins’ staff.

Of the four, Giuliano is one who had to back out of visiting because he’s watching his brother, a tight end at Harvard, play and traveling with his family:

UW wins out and in so doing eliminates Utah and Oregon St
Oregon loses to USC and Oregon St

Essentially we need Utah and Oregon St to lose one game each and Oregon to lose two games while winning the rest of our games.

Not likely, but possible. There is hope.
