Anthony Jones, who spent his first two years at Indiana before entering the portal in December after his redshirt freshman season, has picked up an offer from UCLA, he announced this morning.

Expect there to be some football commitments coming out of this week. Right now it’s looking like two, possibly three that will be rolled out on separate days.

Don’t have the names yet but I know the staff is very pleased with how things went and some of the names they were able to bring on campus.

This time it’s 2025 Orange (Calif.) Lutheran three-star Aaron Ia. His previous season was cut short due to injury.

According to On3’s Joe Tipton, Penn transfer guard Clark Slajchert has heard from UCLA, as well as Clemson, Penn State, Loyola-Chicago, Cal, Texas A&M, Rutgers, San Francisco, SMU, Vermont, Wyoming, GW, Santa Barbara, Santa Clara, New Mexico, NIU, Davidson, UCSD, Montana State and Towson.

Slajchert, who entered the portal Monday, averaged 18 points per game and shot 42% on 3-pointers as a senior last season. He is a Los Angeles native who attended Oak Park HS.

I specifically really hope Mack, Berke, BWill, and either Mara or Bona stay.

We really have not fixed our biggest needs with the additions from the portal. We need scoring, rebounding, shooting.

We just found slightly better versions of what we had.
