Andej Stojakovic has become one of the fastest-rising recruits this spring, and he has picked up a ton of offers in the last couple months. Among those offers, UCLA decided to jump in and is hosting him on an official visit over the next couple days. He has already used an official visit on a trip to Stanford, and he is looking at some other programs to visit this summer before an expected decision some time in the fall. He's been playing with Compton Magic this travel season, so there are some natural connections with the Bruins. UCLA also just hired an assistant coach who happens to also be of Serbian descent. Stojakovic was really solid last week at the Pangos All-American Camp and he continues to showcase his ability to hit shots.
UCLA has stormed into the picture with him and is quietly building as a top contender in his recruitment. I spoke with him about the visit and his thoughts on the Bruins and you can read the full story above. I also shot some clips of him last week in Las Vegas at the Pangos camp, which you can watch below. He's an effortless scorer with really good size for the position.
"Coach Cronin and Coach Savino have been amazing. Checking in all the time. We have a terrific relationship so far. I'm looking forward to developing that and seeing where it goes."
