Personally I am way grateful for the dramatic improvement Mora has brought to:
1) Changing the archaic player-dominant 'over the wall' culture.
2) Administrative/admissions streamlining, PR control and major fundraising/facilities success.
3) Initial innovation and daring: New formations, camps, 2-way players, Anthony Barr recovery,
daring hire of NFL-outcast Sal Alosi as strength guru, better uniforms and deals.
4) Initial major recruiting successes incl Myles Jack and Josh Rosen among many others.
5) Beating SC 3-1.
6) He has shown a solid 'tender' fatherly side with #36 Nick and others in player development.
7) Lots more guys getting drafted by NFL and as free agents.
On the other hand, IMO he also has his shortcomings:
1) No Pac-12 championships or victories over Oregon and Stanford.
2) An average (or at least underutilized) coaching staff. He appears to prize loyalty over ability,
while the topmost elite programs prize assistants' ability over loyalty.
3) Slow or questionnable game-management; weak changes and adjustments.
4) Recent deterioration in recruiting intensity. Absenteeism. Eroding rapport with press and fans.
5) Hard to see him as a great offensive mentor or game-day play-caller.
6) Little if any swagger on D. Passive non-attacking style. This is a real puzzle.
7) Apparent anger and barely-suppressed contempt in press conferences.
