We had heard and we reported last night that junior college defensive back Devron Davis was slated to announce his UCLA commitment this week, possibly even as early as today. A source close to Davis, though, said he may wait now after a fairly wild Monday. First, the JUCO corner landed an Ole Miss offer in the morning. Then the source said "USC and Oregon are on him hard today" as well. So it looks like a public announcement may come a little later than we expected.
From what I'm hearing, he's still very much UCLA's to lose. And in fact, with only two defensive back scholarships available for this year, I've heard the Bruins wouldn't mind if he held off on an announcement as well.
