Flooded with crap to do today. Thankfully I guess to my wife running me ragged like the UCLA D in the first half. I had my phone turned off, so I didn't start watching the DVR until 7:30. No eating crow for this guy lol. I would have been right there with the rest of you degenerates otherwise.
Hell of a win!!
Couple of notes from what I saw
1) Oline scares the hell outta me. Too many shots on Rosen, we will have a similar fate as last season if the big ugliest don't improve fast
2) Caleb Wilson, looking like Antonio Gates in his prime. MAN!!!
3) We will have to play man to man and stack the box against strong rushing offenses. Got to improve that push in the trenches
4) WR were much improved, able to separate and CATCH, and rack up the YAC YARDS
5) impressed with adjustments by Bradley and staff in 2nd half. Kudos
6) Young DE's, really improved as game went along. Phillips is gonna be a threat for 1st Team honors, and KLS looked like he put on some good weight.
7) Adarius Pickett, was all over the field, Darnay looked a lil overwhelmed at times, but held his own down the stretch
8) Jamabo looks like the feature back and needs more touches (catches too), doesn't do well inside the tackles, but has the ability to break tackles that the other backs haven't shown.
Glad to get the win, hell of a way to start the year. I hope the team enjoys this one, but puts their heads down and learn some valuable lessons today moving forward.
Go FUGGIN' BRUINS!
CHEERS!
