Hey Guys: Tough news this morning as Dayven Coleman has de-committed from the Bruins this morning per a couple of reports on other sites. Yes, it stings in the sense that he's a capable DB that's good to have had in the class, but he's also been a player that we have seen have a very up-and-down history in terms of his performances across all the games/events we have seen him in. He's not the most svelte defensive back on the scene, and playing fast isn't necessarily playing to his strength - he's more of a right place/right time sort of defender when he's at his best.
He's already previously de-committed from Louisiana Tech as well, so the behavior isn't a complete surprise. He still has official visits scheduled to Illinois and Colorado for next month, but included UCLA in a list of offers he retweeted when the news of his de-commitment broke. Those offers also included: Arizona, Iowa State, Kansas Minnesota, Syracuse and Utah in addition to the Bruins, Buffs and Illini.
