I like our depth on D. The talent gap is not as wide within the two-deep, so we aren't going to be so overly reliant on one or two players like we were last season. In math terms, the talent amplitude isn't as high as it has been (no outstanding talents like Barr, Kendricks, Jack, Clark), but the median talent level is higher.

Last year the whole defensive scheme was built around Kenny C, Eddie V, and Myles, so when two of the three went down, our whole defense had to adjust on the fly. This year, we won't have that problem with our improved depth and experience level. Additionally, mentally, no one will be able to just figure that Myles will be there to make plays...it's gonna be an 11-man, hardhat, lunch pale defense and dudes are not going to be able to ride NFL coattails to win games.
