One of Mora's several frustrations over the past year was the
loss of heralded 6'5 255 lb #1 2015 TE recruit Chris Clark from Connecticut,
who had issues after playing only one game (Virginia) before withdrawing
to move back East to be with his parents. Clark ultimately signed with Pitt in
January 2016 but missed Spring practice there, and will now
miss the entire 2016 season with knee surgery.
It was only a few weeks later in 2015 that Myles Jack was injured
and then decided to go pro only 4 games into his junior season.
So Mora has had his major player frustrations,
including the 5-star Mique Juarez transition this year. It's not hard to
imagine a very different team with those three players active.
Plus Josh Rosen has had a slower start this season.
