Let's say that Clark leaves early, but EV, Jack, and Moreau return for bigger pay checks and a full season of dedicated rehab between now and next fall.

We would lose three excellent players in Brendel, Clark, and Payton. After that, we would be solidly intact, but with more experience.

If we were to get Howard and the other receivers in the fold, Juarez, plus depth all over the place, I do not see how we are not one of the top five teams in the country next year and a prohibitive playoff favorite. Even without Jack, who, depending on his rehab and insurance specifics, may leave, we have an incredible group returning. It is that kind of group that wins big things.

Cal, Stanford, Utah, SC, and ASU will have new QBs. Only SC has young talent to match ours, but I think their DL will be poor and who knows about their QB. Utah loses 12 starters. Next year could be the title we all covet...
