I'm a nutrition nerd, and I noticed Jaelan Phillips looking a whole lot bigger than when I last saw him at the Rose Bowl.
He told me he's put on 14 pounds since he got to campus a few weeks ago, and remains one of the lowest body fat percentage guys on the team.
I asked him what the diet was like at UCLA, and he gushed. Said food is readily available, and it's all clean stuff. He said Sal Alosi also gives them weight gainer shakes every day, and in total, he's chowing down about 5,000 calories of clean food every day. Said he wants to be up around 270 pounds by spring ball/summer (he played his huge senior season at about 230).
He has a chance to be a monster for the Bruins.
