As most of us thought was going to happen, our inside running game was non-existent in our opener.
We finally substituted in Toran with really no improvement.
Switching subject matter, analysts have been saying for awhile that Andre James really isn't a tackle and should be moved inside. The argument is that if we do that we don't have anyone to backup at tackle.
Switching back to the initial subject, Poasi Moala only played tackle in high school and I believe it was left tackle. He's a good athlete but simply not a power guy. He's a finesse guy. I think this year AK moved him inside thinking he could be a good pulling guard. In prior years he's played tackle and even some backup TE as a blocker. He's just not a power guy.
Does anyone else think it might be wise to move Moala back to tackle as the backup T, and move Andre James inside? Sorry AK if I'm thinking to radically for you.
