Akron, Ohio QB Danny Clark has de-commited from Ohio State. To say this has been a very long time coming would be an understatement considering Clark originally committed to Ohio State way back in 2013.
This is a big time pro-style QB who dreamed of playing for the home town university. Now that he's not going to Ohio State, he's an OOS recruit. It's a long shot and unlikely UCLA has any relationship with him to any extent.
However it could be fairly assumed he has little relationship at this point with any school after having verbaled over two years ago. For example he only had one other offer (from Illinois), and Rivals only lists interest from Michigan State and Toledo. (Maybe he can talk to Cassius Peat about the Spartans...he,he)
The staff is very much still looking to take another QB for this year, and Clark is right in their wheelhouse from an offense look standpoint. At the least they'll probably try to get in the mix, and perhaps after being very disappointed and being recruited over at his home dream school, he'll be interested in going far away to a completely new situation.
