I don't think he was "shut down" as some over the top tv personalities may have claimed. That left thumb does not look to be a minor ding.

He held it the whole game, and never seemed to truly regain his intensity and focus after the arrant air ball alameda contact flukishly with his left thumb. His body language suggested at times that he knew it was something serious.

Not sure anybody noticed, but even when going to wipe the underside of his shoes, he wiped both feet with his right hand.

I have a bad feeling that there is a fracture. I hope I am wrong, but I left the game last night more worried about the thumb then the loss.
