For a lot of reasons I've been paying close attention the the CFL, really since 2014 and I have begun to learn about how the CFL sometimes shapes NCAA and NFL football conventions. There are some Bruin ties with the CFL, for example our own Rocky Long (my favorite Bruin DC since 1996) played with the BC Lions in the 1970s and our own Justin Medlock is a lock for the CFL Hall of Fame for several teams and currently for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. The New England Patriots of the CFL would be the Calgary Stampeders and their D is awesome to watch. Their DC is DeVone Claybrooks and I'm hoping DG and CJM give him some serious consideration.

His D is 1rst in total defense, 2nd in sacks, 2nd in interceptions and they were up at the top last year as well. If you watch the Stampeders you will see very few stupid mistakes, you will see extreme aggression and precision discipline. You will also see a coach who demands respect (NFL Super Bowl winner and he's just a badass, tough guy on the field). It would be nice of us to think outside of the box for this hire so we can get someone as good as or better than Spanos or D-Walk and maybe even as good as Rocky Long. I want some aggression and attention to detail for next year's Bruins defense. What do you all think and have you ever seen this dude coach?
