Not sure Mora's record this year will matter

DG's contract is until 2019. Assuming Mora goes around the expected 6-6, it's unlikely he gets fired. Outgoing ADs, as I recall, usually prefer to leave the hire to their successor.

In fact, even Mora craps the bed and goes 4-8, I would be surprised to see a change. DG has been okay with mediocrity even in their crown jewel sport of basketball. And Block appears happy as long as the $ roll in. It'll still take a year or two for the Rose Bowl to empty our completely, though I think there will be fewer people this year than last (we gave up our 4 seats and have heard of a number of others doing the same). With the TV deal, lowered attendance for a couple of years maybe palatable and they can run Mora's contract down a bit (one wonders if a concern is that he won't work again and they will be stuck with the whole thing).
