UCLA coach Jim Mora and players Jayon Brown, Darren Andrews and Conor McDermott met up with us at UCLA today. The notes:
-Mora had no updates on Kolton Miller (lower leg) and Ishmael Adams (shoulder). He said if guys are healthy enough to play on Saturday, they will.
-Mora declined to say whether or not Nate Starks would continue to be the feature back in this offense: "Way too early to say," he said.
-Mora said if Adams won't be able to go this weekend, Adarius Pickett, Mossi Johnson and Randall Goforth would be the primary candidates once again to replace him on the return units.
-Mora got the quick hook in our press conference with him, but when Jayon Brown was asked about Mique Juarez possibly being back with the team, Brown said he has yet to speak with the former five-star.
-Conor McDermott said his advice to Andre James if Kolton Miller can't go on Saturday will be to just "relax." He said James needs to just treat it like any other game if he is indeed the starting right tackle.
-In a funny note, Jayon Brown said he loses about one dreadlock per game. Said Takkarist McKinley does too, and when he lost one on Saturday, he was "sad" about it.
