After the game was postponed a day due to the wildfires and the Borderline shootings, 12-0 Oaks Christian won a wild seesaw battle against JSerra last night in San Juan Capistrano, coming back from 0-14 to win 35-34 on a field goal with 18 seconds left. A truly entertaining game that has already been called an 'Instant Classic' with numerous lead changes and stout performances by both teams. A shame either side had to lose. Oaks' Michigan-bound RB Zach Charbonnet had 220 yards rushing, and its star WDE Kayvon Thibodeaux was oddly ejected for a non-contact foul by a ref who tossed the flag at his feet. Thibodeaux may miss the rest of the playoffs, also a shame.

The early word is Oaks' next game is vs St John Bosco, the #1-rated high school team in the US, this coming Friday, in Westlake Village. 12-0 Bosco will almost certainly be heavily favored.
