Noticed a lot of arguing about it, don't quite understand why.
There are 3 top CB so far on the west coast this year, odds are UCLA isn't getting any of them. So, logically they now have to offer and recruit the 2nd tier players. Maybe they'll get lucky and one of these guys will blow up and was really just "under the radar." The fact is the they recruited the instant impact guys and struck out.
I think it's wise that at least they realize earlier this year that they aren't doing well and are pivoting to other people as opposed to past years where they have had to scramble at the last minute i.e QB, DL, WR in past years.
Hopefully the big class from last year has some players in it.
I would personally prefer they recognize this early and get 2nd tier players instead of offering 3rd and 4th tier players later.
Whether it's scheme or talent the UCLA DBs haven't been the most exciting group for quite awhile and last years team as a whole was mostly an ugly defense with the exception of the SC game. Perhaps Bradley will make it a sexier place to play.
