It wasn't the end of the season. Lots of basketball left. But it does end our hopes for the 1 seed out west given Zaga is going to be hard to leapfrog with their remaining cupcake schedule. The 2 seed is the new goal but we're going to need some help as either Zona and Oregon are currently in a better position to snag it. Here's what we need to happen:

Oregon - with Brooks banged up, we need Oregon to lose one of the Utah/Colo games on that very tough mountain road trip next week. We then obviously need to beat them at home. 2 conf losses for Oregon.

Zona - they have the most favorable schedule remaining as they do not need to take the mountain road trip and only play Oregon once (at Oregon fortunately). They need to lose to Oregon (hopefully Brooks is back from the sprained foot) and we need to take the rubber match at Tucson. 2 conf losses.

We already have 2 conf losses so obviously we need to win out to get a share of the PAC-12 title. We also need a strong showing in the PAC-12 tourney as we will undoubtedly square off with one of the above. Perhaps the winner of the tourney seals the #2 seed. It's going to be a wild ride the rest of the season. But this is why we love college hoops isn't it?
