We split the Rivals Challenge up this year with 1-on-1s in the morning and 7-on-7 tonight. A few quick notes from the morning session:

-UCLA's commitments didn't fare too well this morning. Darian Owens had a bit of the dropsies, and Lokeni Toailoa and Breland Brandt didn't win many, if any, of their 1-on-1s. In terms of just how they all looked athletically, though, there's not much wrong with them as prospects. Owens was very explosive and looked like he'd make for a killer safety. Brandt was fluid for his size, and despite being a downhill linebacker, Toailoa moved OK too.

-The Bruins' defensive back recruits were solid this morning, with Jack Jones having probably the best day of any CB out there. I don't think he lost a single 1-on-1 rep, and he was going against a loaded field out there. Byron Murphy won more than he lost, as did Lamar Jackson. 2017 CB Thomas Graham had an OK morning, but probably lost more than he won.

-In the trenches were some of the strongest line recruits I've seen. UCLA's three O-line targets (Greg Little, Terrance Davis and 2017 Wyatt Davis) had good days, with Greg Little being the standout. Guard Terrance Davis was also good, and while Wyatt Davis lost too many reps to make headlines, he's got some raw talent that drips upside.

-On the D-line, Rashard Lawrence was the only UCLA target there, and I didn't see him win a rep. Although he didn't look bad. It's just the O-line play today was that good.

-Brandon Burton had one of the worst days I've seen him have this spring at receiver, looking a bit sloppy there.

-Caleb Kelly wasn't anything special in 1-on-1s, but moved really well in individuals. Really not sure he's a five-star.

I'll have more from Baltimore after the 7-on-7 portion of practice tonight.
