I asked our Michigan Rivals reporter Brandon Brown for his take on Jimmie Dougherty. Being just an "analyst" and not a coach at Michigan, Brown didn't know too much, but offered this take:

"Dougherty's background is all offense and centers around wide receivers and throwing the ball so it's not a huge shock that he chose to link back up with Jedd Fisch. At Michigan Dougherty was an offensive analyst and assisted with the passing game and also helped coach wide receivers. He's a young, energetic coach who always seemed to have a positive impact on recruits that visited campus."

I went back to try to find some recruits that Dougherty was linked to in his time at Washington, but we didn't have his name down for any of the big-name guys the Huskies hauled in from 2009-2012. So much like Hank Fraley here, I think we're all going to find out what kind of recruiter/coach he is over the next few months.
