THE GOOD
The game ended and it seemed like no one got badly hurt.
Kenny Clark in the 4th quarter.
Savaiinaea when not in pass coverage (I know he got a pick but his coverage was ugly)
Wadood on a few series tackling.
Rosen. For getting no help from anybody else on the field or off it still played at least okay and unlike anybody else actually made a few plays.
UCLA should've been blown out, but somehow between ASU drops got lucky to keep it close.
THE BAD
The O-line was so bad you thought Brendel might've bet against UCLA. I hope he won a lot of money.
The O-line. They were so god-awful they deserved a second mention.
Kenny Young...yikes.
The defensive coaching. Scrappy's run blitz, run blitz, soft zone wasn't exactly a great idea. His defense reminds a lot of the PSU years. If my players are a lot better than yours I'll win. If they're not, I won't. His game plan showed all the creativity of a network drama #CSI. And still UCLA has no clue to how to stop that gosh darn gimmicky read option (hint: your end/LB has to play the QB and not try to squeeze). Also, not allowing your d-ends to ever spin inside to rush the passer is very 1985, you know back when Bradley was relevant. Not sure if Scrappy-pants knows, but you're allowed to bring more than 4 on 3rd down. My favorite Scrap-Scrap moment was 3-6, last chance to get a stop and he has his corners 8 yards back and a safety at 10. Bend not break? More like bent over and broken. This defense wasn't that good with Vanderdoes, Jack, and Moreau there's little reason to think it will be good doing forward, unless Bradley actually gets creative (don't hold your breath).
The O-line, did I mention they were bad?
The wide receivers. If you're going to be unbearably slow at least catch the ball.
Special Teams (except for Fairbairn).
Mazzone I actually don't think he was as bad as Scrappy-doodles. But not adapting from the first down run was a killer in the first half. Though, it's hard to call plays when your line won't block and your WRs can't catch.
Mora. There's a reason why when the best coaches list in the PAC-12 comes out he's not on top. Fact is if you reversed the teams Graham (as unlikeable and arrogant as he is) would whip the crap out of him with his own team. He's a good coach and probably in this market the best UCLA can do, but he's a mid-tier coach at this point who recruits at a high level. He's certainly no "defensive" mind. He hasn't one really good defense his entire time at UCLA. Once again a big win is followed by a nose dive. The fact is, he mostly beats the teams he is supposed to which is better than Dim Uncle Karl did, and he has had USC's number. But I'm not sure outside of an overrated SC team, he's ever beat a team that was better on paper. Also, his inability to understand the emotional aspect of college football the way cheaty Pete did really hurts him. ASU was a team that wanted to be put out of it's misery and he refused to. After a quarter ASU decide we might as well win and did.
Demetrice Martin - the next time one of his DB's jumps a route will be the first time. Also, teaching your corners to play facing the WR is antiquated and kind of stupid. They invented this crazy thing called the back shoulder fade just to take advantage of that.
Fuller as a returner baffles the mind. He can see the holes but he's about a light year too slow to get to them.
One really bad no call by the ref at the end of the game on the pick play -- ASU player made no effort to run a route. (I know there was an obvious hold on Payton earlier, but Adams holds every play and didn't get called so that's a wash).
