The longer USC stays with Clay Helton the easier it's going to be for UCLA to surpass the Trojans

Clay Helton is nowhere near the caliber of coach that Chip Kelly is. USC has the clear edge in recruiting talent, but a lot of the talent gets wasted every year. On offense, Kelly will utilize every position, he'll get everyone involved and doing that keeps the players motivated and striving to get better. What I've seen from Helton at USC is that he tends to focus on getting the ball to certain players that were highly recruited and that leads to a predictable offense which is why USC had so many close games against teams that they should have beaten easily.

Kelly will distribute the ball all over the field, a wide open offense that will keep opposing defenses guessing and on their heels. If Kelly can recruit some stout defensive players it won't be long before the Bruins will be legit national championship contenders.

Chip Kelly will have the Bruins in a CFP game before Clay Helton has the Trojans in one, that's if he ever gets the Trojans in a CFP game at all.
