I actually think we may miss Mazzone when it's all said and done. He put up some all time great numbers at UCLA that will be difficult to match IMO. He definitely had his limitations, most coaches do, but he was better than I think he got credit for.

That said, I think the next hire will be the determining factor of whether Mora can get over the hump and win big at UCLA or if he is out next year. Changing coordinators is a bit of a crap shoot. Not every guy does well in the new situation even if he had previous success. As another poster pointed out when I brought this up a few weeks ago, Clemson changed coordinators and it propelled them into national championship contenders. Dabo Sweeney was looked at a lot like how people look at Mora. It worked out for him/them. I hope it does for us too but there certainly aren't any guarantees.
