Putting these all in one convenient spot for your viewing pleasure:

Bruins visit David Long

UCLA coaches Jim Mora, Eric Yarber and Demetrice Martin visited the Stanford commitment on Wednesday and he sounded more open than ever in a quick interview with BSR today:

"Definitely a great visit," Long said. "And I'm open as I've said previously."

It doesn't feel like this is a, "If I don't get into Stanford then..." anymore. I think there's a legit battle here between UCLA, USC, Stanford and maybe Washington as well.

A new target on the DB board

I just got word that UCLA DB coach Demetrice Martin will be out at Linfield Christian vs. Notre Dame on Saturday checking in on under-the-radar athlete Lorenzo Burns. The three-star has had a huge senior season, and I think if he performs well on Saturday in front of Martin, don't be surprised if he lands an offer.

Commitment coming next week

I just got off the phone with 2017 DL Hunter Echols, who landed a UCLA offer this week. He told me he's looking to make his Bruin pledge official next week, likely on Saturday before the dead period begins. He said he's going to take an unofficial that day and likely end his recruiting process then.

Coaches out

*Kennedy Polamalu was out at Long Beach Poly today, checking in on five-star ATH Jack Jones.
*Eric Yarber was out at Cathedral, checking in on Echols, Rhedi Short and others.
*In addition to seeing Burns on Saturday night, hearing Martin will try to make it out to Calabasas for five-star 2017 DB Darnay Holmes and the rest of the top prospects over there.
*UCLA is expected to bring many coaches to Bosco-Centennial on Saturday night in Anaheim for four-star WR Javon McKinley and others out there.
