Today the Division I Council endorsed the following transfer portal window recommendations that will be voted on by the Board of Directors:
For winter and spring sports, a written notification of transfer from the athlete the day after NCAA championship selections in that sport for 60 calendar days.
For fall sports, two separate windows totaling 60 calendar days. The first window is 45 days, beginning the day following championship selections. The second window is May 1-15.
“Reasonable accommodations will be made for participants in FBS and FCS championship games,” according to the release.
