Duane Washington Jr. is a 2018 (scoring) point guard from Grand Rapids, Michigan. He played for Grand Rapids Christian, a top program which Washington led to a Class A state title last winter. He garnered a lot of attention this summer while playing for The Phamily (based in Detroit).
In fact it's being reported that he picked up nine offers in July, and here's a local TV clip for more on that.

It should really get your attention that Washington just transferred to Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, and will finish out his HS career there. That may or may not have something to do with Marvin Bagley having also played with The Phamily at times.
If his name sounds vaguely familiar that may be a result of his father Duane Eddie Washington, who came out of Middle Tennessee State and was drafted in the 1987 2nd round by the Washington Wizards (then known as the Bullets).
It's also notable the senior Washington had a younger brother named Derek Fisher, who you certainly remember as a huge clutch player for the Lakers.
So Duane Jr. certainly has lineage for basketball, albeit a highly rated one yet. However what he does have now is an offer from UCLA, to go along with offers from Michigan and Ohio State. Michigan offered on August 7th, the Buckeyes just offered on the 20th.
Now the Bruins are in the game as of the 21st, so young Mr. Washington has it going on.
