The Good: The offense came out swinging and aggressive with two long drives for TDs in the first half. And Garbers played as well as he could play. He thread the needle with his quick, laser-like passes and his runs kept the defense off balance. Perhaps the best part was there were no turnovers. That Gilmer is going to be a star for UCLA in the future…in fact their stable of WRs can compete against any school. Schlesinger and Medrano performed very well as did our defense. Both INT…the Medrano’s INT for a TD and the INT in the final Nebraska drive were both highlights.

The Bad: Those terrible unsportsmanlike penalties was resulted in two Nebraska TDs. The penalties on our sides of the ball cost UCLA either stalled drives or kept Nebraska’s offense on the field too often.

The Ugly: The playcalling and game decisions were questionable and uneven. The running game, though better, is not where is needs to be and the oline is a work in progress. They did a better job in keeping Garbers upright but they still have no push in their running game. The holes are not opening up or it closes too quickly.. Berger, Harden and Jones had less then 100 yards combined…sad.
