There's no word on how Jules Bernard's official visit to UCLA went. However that should surprise no one as Jules rarely tweets, and never has been one to make things about about him. His recruitment has been low key from the beginning, and coaches are not allowed to comment on recruits.

So we may never hear anything on that subject. The pertinent question for the moment, is when did the clock start on the visit ... Friday or Saturday? Because the normal pattern is to discuss things with parents over the remainder of the weekend.

(There was no word on if both or either of Jules' parents went on the visit.)

We do know his cancellation of the Oregon visit was significant, and moving the Bruins into the Duck's original time slot changed of it's finish. From a middle of the week, to either today or tomorrow for a weekend discussion over the dinner table on Sunday.

Some people think this is all theater, and no other school is in the mix. However just when you think things are over Yogi Berra returns, and just a few months every single scout in the country had M.J. Walker bound for Westwood.

So we'll hear when we hear, and if Bernard does makes a post visit commitment? Don't be surprised if it just appears without any preamble or fanfare.

While we're in hold mode, let's talk about something that comes up all the time in recruiting. It's particularly connected to Bernard, and that is inaccurate listings for height and weight on recruiting sites. For example Jules' listed height and weight are over the map.

ESPN lists him at 6'5" and 185#. Scout had him the same 6'5", but very skinny at 170#. Recently they gave him another inch to 6'6" and a bump in weigh to 190. In the meantime Rivals has Jules listed at 6'7" and 190#.

The problem stems from most sites (Scout and particularly ESPN) taking measurements from the recruits junior year, then using them until updated by the HS for the senior year. Other sites, like Rivals, will use summer league measurements (sometimes Scout also updates that way).

At 16 or 17 lots of kids are growing like a weed, so you can get a Jules Bernard with a spread of two inches and twenty pounds. Thankfully Jules set the record straight by telling fans he is actually 6'7" and weighs 200 pounds.
