While perma-maverick and 'rebel pirate' Mike Leach is no candidate for ever coaching at UCLA,
he keeps backing up his brash talk with proof statements. His Cougars are now 8-2 after
beating Stanford 24-21 yesterday in the snow at Pullman, and WSU will move into the Top 20.

During the week Leach called out Bryce Love as 'not even the best RB in the Pac 12'
(he prefers 6-2 237 pound OSU junior Ryan Nall) and called out David Shaw as merely the 'inheritor' to Jim Harbaugh's regime set-up at Stanford. But then WSU went out and proved it. Love, who
had an ankle injury and who Leach may have baited the stubborn 'always prove the run' Shaw into playing, was held to only 69 yards at WSU - well over 100 YPG below his average.

Separately, the WSU Police are recommending pressing felony charges against the USC player
who mashed and knocked down the WSU fan (and apparently concussed the fan) while the Trojans
exited the field after USC lost to WSU.
