UCLA had its full staff in Phoenix over the weekend watching the Section 7 team camp. I was there for most of the weekend and the Bruins watched a ton of recruits and were very visible among the hundreds of coaches in attendance. Those viewings have led to some new offers being handed out in the last couple days. Here's a rundown of the new offers that also include some prospects the staff didn't watch this weekend but decided to move forward with offering.

Section 7 offers

Cody Williams is an impressive wing prospect from Perry High School in Gilbert, Arizona. I've been tracking him since last year and he has continued to make a lot of progress with his game. He is a bit too timid at times on the floor, but when he is aggressive he is very difficult to stop. He is going to have to grow into his 6-foot-8 frame some more at the next level, but he is comfortable playing on the perimeter and can even handle the ball and distribute like a point guard when needed. I liked him a lot better at the Pangos All-American Camp in Las Vegas a couple weeks ago than I did in Phoenix, but he was still impressive and it earned him an offer from the Bruins. Mick Cronin was at a lot of his games and the staff was represented at his games all weekend long. He is the younger brother of Santa Clara wing Jalen Williams, who is a projected first-round pick in this week's NBA Draft. Williams also added an offer from Arizona yesterday as well.

The big man from Henderson (Nev.) Liberty was a bit of a revelation for everyone in attendance at the event. He's flown under the radar so far, but that is changing and he added offers from TCU and UCLA after a strong showing at Section 7. He is a bit of an undersized center, but he is still very impressive and is just scratching the surface of what he can become. He plays big and has a lot of really strong qualities about his game already. He's originally from Ivory Coast but really played well and was one of the most intriguing prospects on the floor throughout the weekend. Lath plays with a ton of force around the basket and could really impact the game in the paint.

There might not be a point guard who had a better stretch of games than Dedan Thomas from Liberty. The rising junior is smooth and plays the game very under control. He is a true point guard who looks to get his teammates involved and is a solid player all around. His dad played at UNLV in the 90s (and attended Taft HS) so there are some good bloodlines there, and he really fits what most teams are looking for at the position. There's a no-nonsense quality to his game that is really impressive. He's added a bunch of offers in recent days with Arizona, Florida, LSU, Houston and USF all jumping into the picture since his showing in Phoenix. UCLA had a few coaches watching him consistently throughout the weekend, so he is definitely someone I could see being a top priority in the 2024 class.

No one brought the coaches out quite like Fountain Valley HS wing Carter Bryant. The 6-foot-8 prospect has all the tools to be an elite-level player at the next level, and schools are starting to take more notice of that. There were a ton of schools keeping an eye on him this weekend, and assistant Rod Palmer did not miss any of his games. That has led to an offer from UCLA as Bryant's stock continues to rise heading into his junior year. Florida, Arizona State and LSU have all offered him in the last couple days while Arizona offered him last week. USC, Illinois, San Diego State, Xavier and UNLV are some of the other schools that have previously offered. Arizona is the early favorite to land his commitment and it is the only school he's visited so far, but UCLA should have a good shot to keep him home as the process moves forward.

The rising sophomore is a nice developing prospect from Bishop Gorman HS in Las Vegas. He played a key role for that team as a freshman and showed his developing skill set throughout the weekend in Phoenix. Nwuli has some impressive versatility as his size allows him to work from the perimeter or the post. He is really strong at getting to the basket and he showcases a knack for making the right passes during the weekend. UCLA is one of the first schools to jump with an offer joining Louisville and Washington State. I've watched him over the last couple weekends and he definitely has the look of a high-major prospect in the future and he's starting to see those types of offers come in.
