-Kelly said it was a point "to get bigger" and noted he was pleased to add 16 guys that are 6-4 or taller, saying that was "an important thing for us moving forward."

-Kelly praised the "dynamic" DTR and said it was a "priority" to maintain his commitment when he arrived.

-Kelly said there was no plan to target one or two positional groups more than others, saying "we needed depth and help at every position."

-Interestingly, Kelly said UCLA had four O-linemen, yet without Chris Murray's NLI, they only have three signed. Which at least tells you UCLA still wants Murray.

-Kelly emphasized that at UCLA, there are a lot of recruits who can't qualify academically. Said there's no point in recruiting them "if they're not going to get in."

-Kelly said what we've all surmised: "There are certain size requirements that we're looking for." He mentioned they're looking for taller, longer players like Buckner, Armstead and Dion Jordan at Oregon. He added, hilariously, "big people beat up little people, so we're looking for big people."

-Kelly said Michael Ezeike reminds him a lot of Jordan Matthews (Eagles/Bills wideout).

-Kelly said if a recruit says he's committed, but takes visits, he will be treated as a recruit who is uncommitted. Sounds like only recruits who shut down their recruitment will be treated as pledges at UCLA.

-Kelly said Kyle Philips is already on campus. He's hopeful all three JUCO recruits and "one more" high schooler will be on campus for spring ball.
