Gary Trent Jr. is the son of Gary Trent Sr. a former NBA player for several seasons. Unlike his father, who was a bull in the china shop bruiser, the younger Trent is a superb perimeter player. He grew up in the Twin Cities, but has transferred for his last year to a prep school in Northern California.
Some people have penciled him in for Duke and Coach K really wants him. However some other people say this isn't over yet, and specifically think he's much more open and much more interested in UCLA than assumed.
