Just got off the phone with four-star athlete Dylan Robinson.

He was among the final official visitors from Thursday to Saturday. His top four is Notre Dame, UCLA, Utah and Washington.

He hopes to reach a decision near the end of July. An official set date will likely be announced soon.

His father has a longstanding relationship with Bruins safety coach Brian Norwood.

Robinson is being looked at as a receiver by Notre Dame. Though, he said UCLA is open to the idea of working him in at receiver for a few snaps.

I’ll have a full story published in the morning.

Not long after the offer to Matthew Muasau, another linebacker in the class picked up an offer.

Ikaika Malloe was out in Kahuku, Hawaii earlier this spring to catch up with LeBron Williams, who ended up committing to Cal. But he also built a connection with Malaki Soliai-Tui.

Soliai-Tui took a past trip to Westwood in 2022.

“I have visited UCLA before with my pylon team rebel squad back in 2022 for a pylon tournament. Also, coach Malloe recently came down to our spring ball practices and offered one of my teammates Lebron Williams,” he told me moments ago.

Done deal! Epi Sitanilei has announced his commitment to UCLA over Ohio State, Utah and Cal. A major local pickup for the Bruins and a big piece of the class. He's only been improving heading into his senior season and believes he found his right fit with UCLA. I spoke with him ahead of his announcement to discuss why staying home made the most sense and a lot more.

You can read the story from Tracy and I above.

“Those connections right there and what they were able to produce with the past (defensive ends) and Jay (Toia), as well as Latu, it’s pretty evident to me what they could do with me. That much love, it can’t go unnoticed for me. … Going out to the school and them consistently showing it throughout the whole process, it really showed me…where I am on their spectrum and where I am on their board.”
