Blake Corum Returning to Michigan

This is interesting. Possibly the best RB in college football decided to return rather than go pro. I have to wonder about his NIL offer. It is quite possible that without it he would have gone to the NFL.

It is even more surprising he made this decision after his injury late in the season. Conventional thought is that an RB needs to go pro as soon as possible due to the accumulation injuries. I think Michigan would be playing in the game tonight if he had not missed the game against TCU.

Dante Moore will be the starting quarterback for the East squad today in the All-American Bowl in San Antonio. Ryan and I have been here all week and watched each of Moore's practices. He's continued to gain high praise for his work during the practice sessions, and you can watch some clips of those above.

The game kicks off at 10 a.m. PT and will be shown on NBC.

2026 MBB offer

Jason Crowe Jr., a standout freshman guard for Lynwood HS, picked up an offer from UCLA today.

He’s been a big scorer who’s dropped as many as 51 points in a game this season. His father, who doubles as his HS coach, played at Cal State Northridge and I actually grew up in Carson and saw him play against the likes of a young Baron Davis, and several others, in a local pro-am summer league run each year in the early 2000s by DeAnthony Langston.

Receivers to watch in portal

The Pac-12 has had quite a few quality receivers enter the portal this offseason and one UCLA has its eyes on is former Cal receiver J.Michael Sturdivant, who entered the portal yesterday.

When Cal QB Jack Plummer entered the portal last month, that had him looking for a new destination.

He had 65 catches for 755 yards and 7 TDs as a redshirt freshman.

UCLA, of course, is losing Jake Bobo and Kazmeir Allen. That leaves Kam Brown and Logan Loya as the most proven top targets on the team heading into 2023, so it’s an area the Bruins need depth.

Cronin is 3-5 against SC

How is this even possible?! And as much as he blames the players last night for the awful second half, that's on HIM as the coach too. I like Mitch and I feel like he's a good coach but I think he gets a major pass from media because he's engaging and honest. But, let's say if he had Chip's personality, would he be getting more heat?

I know we had a magical run to the Final Four but he's yet to win a Pac 12 regular season or tournament championship. We are a basketball blue blood. This should be unacceptable IMO. I feel like coaches that are good with the media get much longer leashes than coaches that aren't good with them.

PWO RB offer

Troy Leigber, a running back for Laguna Hills, was extended a preferred walk-on offer tonight by UCLA.

He was the Orange County Register’s offensive player of the year after leading his school to a 15-1 record and CIF-Southern Section title a year removed from a shoulder injury. Leigber ran for a school record 2,695 yards and had 44 of his 52 touchdowns on the ground.
