It's been a busy week or so with a lot of relevant recruiting updates, so I wanted to post some nuggets here for you guys:

-Four-star DL Greg Rogers is set to visit UCLA today (Monday). He'll visit USC later this week as well. We've been told that these are likely his final two schools, so these visits could be big.

-Four-star quarterback Jack Sears' coach told us this weekend that he is down to a final four of UCLA, USC, Utah and Duke. His coach said he'd actually be surprised if Sears' decision doesn't come within the next week. Your guess is as good as pretty much anybody's here. I don't think Utah is in it, but you could make legitimate cases for UCLA, USC and Duke to be his choice.

-You can probably cross three-star tackle Jalen McKenzie off the UCLA list for now. He said Tennessee, USC and Michigan are the schools popping out to him right now.

-UCLA is still trying with four-star DL Marlon Tuipulotu, but he told our Washington site that he has no plans to officially visit anywhere except UDub as of right now.

-Five-star corner Darnay Holmes told our Lars Hanson at The Opening that he'll make his commitment at the Army Game in the winter. For now, UCLA is the favorite.

-Coveted UCLA CB target Elijah Gates said he'll officially visit Oregon and TCU for sure, and UCLA, Michigan, Notre Dame, Cal and Nebraska are all standing out as well. He seems far away from a decision here.

ICYMI (from things we've already put on the board):

-Our Lars Hanson was out at The Opening and spoke to several sources that said Washington was out for the four-star LB. We continue to hear UCLA will be the pick if Gumbs decides to announce later this month as planned.

-Three-star CB Jaylan Shaw appears likely to commit to UCLA this month. Whenever he sets up his unofficial visit date for UCLA, you can probably expect that to be his commitment date as well.

-There's not another school even close to UCLA on three-star DB Quentin Lake's board, but he seems hesitant to make an early pledge. He mentioned depth chart being a big factor for his college choice, so perhaps he's waiting to see just how big of a haul Demetrice Martin is going to bring in this year.
