What the attraction and / or connection to UCLA is wasn't explained in the story, however the Austin, TX Statesman is reporting six foot DB Ethan Fernea is coming in as a walk on for the Bruins. Fernea also plays WR and has really good hands (check out the incredible one handed catch at 58 seconds in the video).
While the competition doesn't look overly impressive, he also shows nice speed and takes good angles for the tackle.
