I remember it wasn't to long ago when Chip Kelly was purging the Bruin Roster from the so called trouble making pot smoking prima donnas and many were applauding him for doing so. The mantra was Chip was changing the horrible culture at UCLA. At the time I said Kelly was making a big mistake getting rid of some players that could help us win. I said then it was a huge mistake when he let Jalen Phillips leave who was our only pass rushing hope.
Fast forward to this year and Phillips ends up at Miami who's 3-0 and ranked #7 in the country. Phillips is becoming one of the best pass rushers on the team and is making a difference already at the U. Just another example of Kelly's ineptness. I wish Jalen continued success to a fine young man.
