I would like to see some of it. It would be refreshing to see Mazzone get out of his comfort zone just a little. I do understand that we don't have a prototypical pro style TE, but Rosen is not a threat to run on the mesh either.

IMO, Rosen and Jamobo are better suited for a pro style attack. Down hill running and play action passes off of it would kill defenses. Jamobo has the type of running style and body that would break defenses down and would give this offense a very tuff mentality. Another reason, we simply can't recruit fast, shifty, 1st round talent at WR.

A pro style offense would keep our defense on the bench longer, which is very important in the PAC 12 where points come often and fast. 11 out of 12 teams in PAC 12 run a spread offense, so every week PAC 12 defenses prepare for the same offense. Except for Stanford, now you have to prepare for big, tough linemen and power football. Those fast coverage LB's now have to get outta their comfort zone and attack the LOS, it's not an easy adjustment. Not only is it not an easy adjustment but you don't recruit for it since the majority of the offenses you see are spread.

IMO, this is why a lot of front seven guys come outta the south and into the NFL. They see more pro style attacks and the teams recruit for it. NFL teams know what they're getting, they have plenty of film on them attacking a pro style offense.
