DBs.
Last year Brick had them playing off 10 yards an awful lot and we thought it was just his way of coaching. ok thats fine. So enters Bradley who in San Berdo had them playing a little tighter coverage which had me excited, but in the games, here we are playing 10 yards off again. Even on 3rd down and 5,6 or 7 we are sitting beyond the sticks and the teams just go 6 yards and curl and bam first down. I'm in the stands SCREAMING for them to get up closer on the guy, but they just sit there way off the man and wait for them to catch it...Shit pisses me off.
Do we just look good against our average WRs?? Do our coaches not trust the DBs in man coverage?? is it a case that w do not get enough push from the DL and the coaches dont want to leave the DBs in man on man that long? or is the philosophy just let them catch it in front of you and tackle them right there, as long as you dont get beat deep? or are they just not as good as we think? you thoughts?
