Good

They won. Sad but even against a bad team, a win is still a win.

Great performance by Perkins even though with that limp he should've been sat. Should be able to rest your star player against the 2nd worst team in the conference.

Johnny Johnson looks to be their best corner. He might not be elite but he can actually find the ball and doesn't hold every play.

Adams pick was a great play (sadly the rest of the game he was his usual self)

Payton made some nice plays.

Jayon Brown made a lot of tackle -- mostly because no one else could.

Aaron Wallace might be a better fit for Hollins' spot than Hollins.

Pass blocking was pretty good (of course it should be against CU...)

Stephen Johnson can run fast. Finally someone who can run fast... now if he can just hang on to the ball.

The Bad...

Run blocking is terribly inconsistent. This isn't a team that can get 1 or 2 yards when they need it.

Offensive play calling wasn't the issue here, but NM should know at this point his O-line is a little soft and this team needs to throw in order to run.

Defensive play calling -- I'm starting to wonder if this is Mora more than Bradley or maybe they just agree. Mora hasn't had a good defense since he's been at UCLA even though he's had at least good talent. The scheme has been and still remains oddly passive. While there are injuries, this is Colorado and they also have a TON of injuries. They've only had 2 o-lineman play every game and they still put up 500 yards of offense. To put it in perspective UCLA played CU as tough as UMASS did but were less effective than Hawaii. Even with everybody healthy the only good defensive performance was against a terrible UVA team and an even worse UNLV team that didn't have a QB. A team that has depth issues should be limiting the plays they are on field by taking risks not adding plays. It's becoming clear that when UCLA can get pressure with 3 or 4 guys they will be good (guess what? That's true of every team). This defensive staff will not out coach or out scheme almost anybody on their schedule (they did do well against Kiffin and Sark, but that doesn't look so impressive right now). If their players are much better than the other team's, they will mostly win -- but not always.

Burning Woods redshirt. This is the height of stupidity. Why you have an unready freshman in the 2-deep when you could have Judge practicing at the position borders on incompetent.

Special teams are pretty grim.
