With giving his current team a year to plan in mind, Paul George's agent has notified the Pacers of his intentions to leave for another franchise.
All-Star forward Paul George has informed the Indiana Pacers that he plans to become a free agent in the summer of 2018 and will leave the franchise – preferably for the Los Angeles Lakers
George hasn't nixed the idea of a trade, however GM's will assume he'll sign with the Lakers no matter what, making him a "one year rental." So the pressure may be on Indiana to get whatever they can from the Lakers now, to avoid ending up with nothing.
The idea of the Lakers starting a back court of Lonzo after a year to break in the league, and George still in his prime is mind boggling. Better yet how about the Lakers pulling a trade for George this summer, to help Lonzo break in this winter?
