The two-star quarterback flipped from Boston College to UCLA today. He spoke with me about why here.
Adam Gorney has seen him more intently than I have over the past year or two, and here's what he had to say about the new Bruin pledge:
"The first thing that really stands out about Burton is his ability to place the ball all over the field, to put it right where receivers can get it and defensive backs cannot. That kind of accuracy is invaluable for quarterbacks and it's something Burton possesses. He can also create. Burton is not the fastest or most nimble quarterback out there and he's not going to have much success running on Pac-12 defenses but he can prolong plays by moving around in the pocket, keeping his eyes down the field and then finding open receivers. He doesn't panic back there and that moxie combined with his accuracy are what makes him a nice addition for the Bruins."
