I was going to ask this before yesterday's game, but now after watching I'm even more curious.
After Coach Bradley was hired, everything I read was that his defenses tended to be of a 'bend don't break' variety. But then reports from training camp seemed to suggest that they were going to be a defense with lots of pressure (Hollins really seemed to suggest this). So right there, it was a bit of a contradiction. Yesterday, seemed awfully vanilla and much more of the reputation of Coach Bradley's Penn State days.
So I guess the question is: what do we expect moving forward? Obviously it's a fluid situation depending upon our opponent, but I was kind of surprised at how basic the defensive formations seemed yesterday, and I don't remember much blitzing, if any at all.
Fire away.
Go Bruins!
