Regarding the missed holes in the running game

There certainly were a number of yards left on the field. Enough to win the game? Who knows. Obviously a defensive stop would've won the game too...

As mentioned before, I don't think UCLA has anything resembling an elite back right now. Bolu looks like the best of the group (with Stephens looking to have potential... both were Stanford recruits so at least they are vetted by a team that knows the position better than most). Starks looked better last year. Perhaps he will find his groove again.

Fact is, Jamabo seems to be out there because of his ranking and for little other reason. He should've been a RS last year. Currently, he belongs on the bench or at WR. He appears to lack any elite qualities and frankly doesn't look built for the position.

Personally, I would roll with Bolu and use Starks as my change of pace. I also think trying to get that many guys reps doesn't help anyone get into a groove, that's on KP and/or Mora not the backs obviously.
