Today I attended the Rivals QB Challenge. Here are my top 5 quarterbacks of the challenge and some other side notes:

1 Jack Sears 2017 San Clemente
-Rivals LA QB challenge MVP award winner
-most consistent of the day
-moves very well
-throws a good ball with good accuracy

2 Tua Tagovailoa St. Louis School
-Mobile Marksman Rivals LA QB challenge award winner
-fast release
-throws a good long ball
-slightly inconsistent with accuracy
-moves exceptionally well in the pocket
-hardest throwing QB I saw all day long

3 Ryan Kelley 2017 Basha
-showed why he was one of the top QB's in the region
-hit a good amount of his targets
-good spiral, but not much heat behind his throws

4 Dorian Thompson-Robinson 2018 Bishop Gorman
-solid frame, built like a brick for his age and size
-had some heat behind his throws
-excellent spiral on his throws
-his display of accuracy was his weak spot today

5 Nicholas Sipe 2017 Villa Park
-Perfect Spiral Rivals LA QB challenge award winner
-threw a very good, accurate ball
-does not move very well

Other Notes:
-2017 Corona Del Mar QB Chase Garbers displayed some good accuracy but his throws lacked power.
-2019 QB J.T. Daniels and 2018 QB Matt Corral were not in attendance.
-Keep an eye on 2020 QB Bryce Young. He will be attending Cathedral next year. Young showed some very impressive qualities at quarterback for a middle schooler.
