This may sound off base, but the coaches need to stop focusing on developing NFL players and start focusing on building a solid unit that plays well as a team. I hate the "we developed NFL players" excuse...who cares. I'd rather say "we developed a National Championship caliber team"! You look at the PAC-12 only and Chris Petersen and Kyle Whittingham perfected this! They don't have the recruits or the NFL prospects UCLA has, but they play disciplined, team oriented football! When you play that way, the NFL scouts will still take notice.
